I love all dogs, large and small, and a good day for me is getting out and about with my Cocker Spaniel Lola, watching her make friends wherever she goes. How much more exciting is it, being able to meet new puppers every day as part of my job!

My Blue Wheelers journey began when I spotted the Big Blue Dog trailers across from our BMX track in Gawler, SA. I remember saying to my husband what a fantastic job that would be, getting to meet and groom lots of furry friends every day! So when the opportunity arose to start a Blue Wheelers of my own, I was straight on the phone to get the ball rolling. My background is Massage Therapy and working with dogs utilising some of those skills is a dream come true.

My husband and I moved to Coffs Harbour from South Australia to be closer to our grandchildren and being a Blue Wheeler gives me the opportunity to live and work in this marvellous place, looking after your precious pups!

I have been lucky enough to have had a wide variety of dogs over the years from my childhood Australian Terrier, my first cocker Spaniel X as a young adult who was with me for 18 years, my big boys the Rotti x Ridgeback and Bull Terrier x Mastiff, my first purebred Cocker Spaniel, a couple of Cockaliers, and my current girl Little Lady Lola, who came to us 18 months ago after being surrendered at 10 years of age.

I was a Remedial Massage Therapist for almost 18 years, and I have also trained in Horticulture, because I love the outdoor life. I’ve lived on farms and rural properties and have planted four food forest gardens over the last 25 years. Managing animals is second nature to me, and I bring all those acquired skills together as a fully trained Blue Wheeler to care for your furry friend.

Violet was very good with our granddog Honey – a Golden Retriever who lives at Dorrigo and was visiting us during the school holidays. Honey was very dirty with red Dorrigo soil and Violet was very kind and thorough washing her. She also did a wonderful job removing dreadlocks and gave her a lovely blow dry. We were very happy with the results and with the price. Violet is a lovely person.

My dog had his first wash with Blue Wheelers yesterday and he smells, looks and feels amazing. He isn’t the easiest dog to wash still young but that wasn’t an issue very patient with my boy great service. I’ll recommend you to my friends

We had Carley stop by a couple months ago for Bella and Milo’s first ever professional grooming experience. I was anxious they wouldn’t cope well with the process but Carley made them feel completely at ease and Milo even tried to go to sleep! I’ve just booked in again and can’t wait!
