I have been providing dog grooming and washing services with Blue Wheelers since 2013. And I absolutely love it.

My number 1 tip is to ensure regular grooming so you don’t end up with a matty dog and we don’t have to shave them! Regular bookings also ensure that you don’t have to wait when you need an appointment.

My most favourite this about being a Blue Wheeler is getting to see the change in the dogs’ attitude over time and how they go from hating a bath to absolutely loving it!

I decided to become a Blue Wheeler because I wanted to get out of the corporate world and do something with dogs. Working with dogs is a truly rewarding career and I don’t know what could be a better way to spend the day.

I love all dogs, but if I had to pick one special breed that’ll be Border Collies. I have always had Border Collies. They are clever, easy to train and have a wonderful nature. I have a 3 year old who loves our youngest Border Collie (called Duggee) and is constantly giving him hugs and kisses. My oldest Border Collie is Slim who is 12. He is a beautiful dog and is also very gentle with the kids.

I named my Blue Dog Trailer after my oldest dog Slim. Seemed appropriate at the time and it will be a good way of remembering him when he eventually passes on (hopefully not any time soon!).

I worked in IT for 10 years and after having kids, I decided I wanted to do something that offers more flexibly so I could spend more time with my kids.

My dog now knows Alexi’s ‘Hello!’ and gets excited to see him. She has arthritis in her back legs and he knows to be gentle with her. She seems to stay cleaner longer and also smells fresh for at least 3 weeks.

Alexi started grooming Molly after her groomer retired. We are very pleased with his service, he is on time, reliable, kind and best of all Molly no longer screams all through her haircut. An awesome fest, great work, we would highly recommend Alexi !

Alexis is professional, thorough and efficient in giving my bath hating dog Bosun a monthly warm bath wash. He is friendly and wonderful with both dog and owner. Alexi is great with my dog’s. Usually he just lets himself through the gate and my boys just happily follow him out to the van for the quickest and most thorough wash they’ve ever had. On the occasions that my little dog needs a clip he always does a great job. Appointments are always confirmed by sms so I don’t even have to remember when he’s coming. I’d recommend his services to anyone. My dog’s look and smell great and love their visits from Alexi.

Alexi has been grooming bazil for months and I couldn’t be more happy with the service, Alexi makes the whole experience easy, professional and relaxing!! Bazil loves to see him and I am always delighted with his cut and treatments it really is a stress free service, I don’t even have to chase him to make a booking he texts me a few days before his scheduled appointments which are all handled by Alexi….
