Hi, I’m Jarrad, I love being part of the Blue Wheelers team – living the dream washing and grooming dogs of Aberfoyle Park and surrounding areas. I love being my own boss and working to my lifestyle. I love seeing the difference on owners faces when their dogs are returned too!

My best tip for the parents with four legged furry members in their families is to treat them as if you would your own human children. Teach them to behave well in company, love them, feed them and keep them nicely cleaned and groomed.

I decided to join the Blue Wheelers team because I wanted to leave my corporate world and work with wonderful dogs and make others smile. I get a buzz out of meeting a new dog and establishing a bond with them and getting a nice “kiss” at the end of the grooming session. It makes me feel appreciated. My dogs will always put a smile on my face, every dog I look after has a soft spot in my heart and I will always shed a tear when one gains their wigs and leaves me.

I come home everyday to my lovely rescue / abandoned Kelpie named Rosie. Rosie was left out in the middle of nowhere and now has a wonderful life living with me and sounds hours and hours chasing balls and is super happy at last in her forever home.

My Blue Wheelers name is Baxter, I chose this name after my dog Baxter (Kelpie/Border Collie cross), who was almost inspirational in his efforts to escape the humdrum life of being in a fenced yard. Six Foot fences were no obstacle for this delinquent pooch. Once out of the yard, he would head straight to the local vet. On arriving at the vet he would sit patiently at the front door until he was let in and given some treats. He would then curl up and have a snooze while waiting for me to pick him up and take him home. The vet thought it was cute and would just ring me and tell me Baxter was there waiting for me. Gotta love a smart dog.

For many years I have worked in customer service related roles and have always been highly regarded and Professional in my approach to business and customers. A while ago, I decided that I needed to do something for myself and began researching other opportunities to invest in. I thought about what I loved to do the most and came up with, I love working with animals, dogs in particular. I also love meeting and interacting with people. So it was that I found a Blue Wheeler business for sale and thought “this would be a perfect fit for me”.

So now I can use all the interpersonal and organizational skills that I have developed over the years in an environment that is relatively relaxed and full of surprises. What more could a person ask for? To run your own business where you can love and be loved in return. As your Blue Wheelers Dog Groomer, I look forward to the joys of interacting with my new extended Human and four footed family memebers.

Billi doesn’t like her feet and legs been touched but Jarrad is so patient with her and she allows him to neaten them up so she doesn’t have “fur boots” anymore. Jarrad is fantastic to deal with and very caring. He also put up a lost post when Billi decided to go on a 2 week holiday by herself. Billi looks and smells great after her visits with Jarrad we are so glad we found a great patient and understanding groomer. Thank you!

Jessi has never been a fan of water or getting bathed, she doesn’t get overly excited when she sees Jarrad at the door either because she knows what’s coming. But Jarrad is so great with her and makes her as comfortable as possible, taking into account the loud noises for her.

She always comes back smelling amazing and fresh and is always happy to have her treats. We have been with Jarrad since the beginning and we would never change who we use.
So, thank you Jarrad!

Sylvia has been looking after my fur baby for over 8 years, she is now blind and elderly at 11 years of age. Sylvia continually reassures Poppy while grooming and bathing her. I completely trust Sylvia with my dog and my home, as on occasion I need to leave for work before she has finished with Poppy. She will put her back inside my home, give her and my other dog both treats, lock my doors and leave.

It’s a big event when Sylvia comes to wash Harvey. Grandchildren from the neighbourhood come to watch & help empty buckets of waste water. Sylvia is extremely welcoming of Harvey & the children. Sylvia does a great job with Harvey, she gets him to stay calm & he trusts her. Harvey looks forward to a treat at the end of his appointment. Thank you Sylvia

Dudley is washed fortnightly by Sylvia. Dudley absolutely loves his wash and time with Sylvia. He barks, jumps, wiggles his whole body every fortnight at 9am like clockwork! Thank you Sylvia for your amazing service and care you show Dudley. I truly appreciate and recommend Sylvia and I know Dudley does too.

Jack can’t wait for his next dog wash, he gets so excited when Sylvia arrives. He bounds up the drive way and into the back of the trailer. He will talk to Sylvia and give her big licks, I’m sure he thinks he is at a doggy day spa.
