Hi, I’m Louise – the proud owner of Blue Wheelers Dapto and the friendly face behind the Big Blue Dog trailer, Mitch. As a lifelong dog lover and local to the Dapto area, I combine my passion for animals with a commitment to quality, compassionate grooming. I love grooming in Dapto because it’s more than just a beautiful community – it’s full of amazing dogs and people. Getting to know my clients (both human and furry) and helping dogs feel clean, happy, and loved is the best part of what I do every day.

Dogs have always held a special place in my heart – they’re honest, loyal, and full of personality. I connect with dogs because I truly understand them. I take the time to listen to their body language, respect their boundaries, and earn their trust without rushing. Whether they’re playful, shy, cheeky or anxious, I see each dog as an individual and treat them with the patience and kindness they deserve. My own dogs have taught me just how deep that bond can go – and that connection is what inspires me to give every dog I groom the care and love I’d want for my own.
I believe grooming should be a positive, gentle experience – not a rushed or stressful one. I work one-on-one with each dog in my fully equipped mobile salon. I take the time to get to know each pup’s personality, build trust, and tailor the experience to suit their needs – especially important for anxious, elderly, or first-time dogs. As a local, I care deeply about the Dapto community and treat every dog like part of the family. Clean, calm, kind – that’s how I groom.
I love meeting new dogs and watching their personalities shine through – every pup is so different, and I enjoy getting to know them all. There’s something really special about the moment a nervous dog starts to trust me, or when a regular client gets excited to see me pull up. And it’s not just the dogs – I get such a kick out of the kids who wave and smile when they see my Big Blue Dog trailer, Mitch, roll into their street. It brightens my whole day and reminds me how lucky I am to do what I do.
When I’m not out on the road, you’ll find me spending time with my own two dogs, Rufus and Turbo – whether it’s cuddled up at home or out adventuring. I love making the most of the outdoors with my family, especially camping trips, fishing, and relaxing walks by the beautiful Lake Illawarra. Being around animals and nature is where I’m happiest, and it helps me stay calm, grounded, and ready to give my best to every dog I groom.

Both my dogs are washed and groomed regularly by Louise. She has a great approach to managing them as they have arthritis; one has had bilateral ACL repairs. Always does a great job, their fur is soft and they smell great

I had Louise groom my dog today for the first time, I’m pretty sure my dog really likes her. She was very caring and gentle with her.

I really liked Louise, she was great with my two fur babies. I could constantly hear her talking to them the whole time she was grooming. She was especially good with Patch who has big anxiety issues. I have already booked their next appointment with her.

Had Louise come today to wash my frenchie today. What a lovely lady!
She was on time , introduced herself , was so friendly and made sure to talk to my dog before anything was done. She explained everything she was going to do, set everything up then started with Chubbs.
I left them to it then came out about 20 mins later and she was nearly finished. She then packed everything up and left my driveway very clean and tidy. I would totally recommend and will definitely be using her again. Thanks Louise!

Ocean had her first ever groom today with Louise and I couldn’t be happier with the results!
