Hi, I’m Filipa. I joined the Blue Wheelers crew 12 months ago, and it’s been an amazing year. I’ve loved helping keep everyone’s fur babies in top shape and getting the chance to shower all the dogs with love, not just my own four furbabies.

My background is a rich blend of farm life, equestrian expertise, and corporate experience. Growing up surrounded by horses and dogs in the beautiful Goulburn Valley, I developed a deep love for animals. With over 40 years of experience working with horses, I was excited to transition from the corporate world to Blue Wheelers, where I can channel my passion into providing quality, caring services for dog lovers in the Shepparton and Kyabram areas.

I can’t wait to make tails wag and ensure every furry friend feels fantastic after their grooming session.

Quick Facts about your Groomer:

My dogs are a Cattle Dog, Groodle, Cavoodle, and Dachshund. Their names are Scout, Jack, Camicazi, and Dulcie.
I typically groom six dogs on the days that I work.
You might catch me singing along to whatever’s playing on the radio - it’s karaoke every minute of the day in my trailer.
I talk to your dogs about anything and everything under the sun, but most likely how gorgeous they are.
My favorite part about grooming your dog is the snuggles, cuddles, and the little licks I get during the session. How can you possibly have a bad day with that?
I feel like a celebrity when little kids wave at me as I drive around town in my Big Blue Dog.
I help anxious dogs enjoy their groom by staying calm, steady, and reassuring, taking my time to make them feel at ease. I’m so proud of how many dogs who were once scared to even approach the trailer now bound in with tails wagging, excited for their grooming session.
Top Gun is my all time favourite movie.
When I'm not grooming, you'll catch me hanging out with my horses.
Ireland and Scotland are currently at the top of my travel bucketlist.

Tara is great my dog has been so scared of being washed and she has turned her into a happy water dog now jumps into her trailer and all.. thanks Tara Ruby loves u

A huge thank you and a job well done to Tara Savage. I presented Tara with 2 Maltese x (not my own) that were in a terrible state. Their toenails were curling under and getting caught up in the balled and matted fur on their feet. One of the dogs had matted fur under her eyes. They were filthy, uncomfortable and sad and more than likely, in pain. I wasn’t sure if Tara would be able to tend to these girls and that they may, in fact, need vet care.
Well, Tara painstakingly spent 4 hours slowing cutting away the matted fur, she cut their toenails, clipped and shaved their coats, cleaned their ears and washed and blow-dried them. The dogs were unrecognizable.
Tara I cannot thank you enough, you were bloody fantastic and the transformation of those 2 girls was nothing short of miraculous. You were patient, tender and caring. THANK YOU.
I cannot recommend you highly enough.
Those dogs are so happy now (I just hope they remain that way).

I highly recommend Tara, to anyone wanting the dogs groomed. She was so quick to get back to me and was available to come when I need her to. Very pleased with the results and she is an all-round lovely woman:-)

We absolutely loved having Tara and Trevor come to visit. Tara was friendly, punctual and so kind to Gracie who was nervous ‘meeting’ Trevor for the first time. Gracie now smells lovely and is looking forward to Tara and her doggy treats coming again.
