  My number one tip for all dog owners would be to treat your pets like one of your children. After all they are a very special part of every family.

  Growing up on large properties with a large array of pets I have always enjoyed being around animals. To be able to work with our four legged friends every day pampering and caring for a family’s loving pet is really exciting.

  A good day is a day filled with happy, pampered clean pooches, and the scent of their clean coats and wagging tails as they return to their owners.

  I have always wanted to work with animals and have the control of my own business. This is why I decided to become a mobile dog groomer with Blue Wheelers. I also get the opportunity to take care of the family’s pet/s and build an ongoing relationship with so many people and animals.

  My favourite breed I would have to say is an American Staffordshire Terrier. Over the years I have had a total of 10 dogs and 7 breeds ranging from small fluffy Maltese to 55kg Rottweilers. My last three dogs have been Amstaffs. They are the breed that best suited my family and lifestyle. They have an easy to coat to maintain , they are strong and powerful but still enjoy a good run and are very loving and loyal .

  The week I finalised the purchase of the business I had the heartbreak of saying goodbye to my beautiful boy “Bud”. My male American Staffy .After 11 years together as all dog owners know not an easy thing to do .He will now ride with me every day proudly blazen on my side.

  I have a background ranging from banking , retail , wholesale , sales and martial arts. My last 15 years I have spent in the wine industry as wholesaler servicing the retail and on premise industries at the same time also running my own martial arts school and personal training business. I think that this background helps me with building good relationships with pets and owners as I have great understanding of both. It has also given me the skills of good time management and planning to run my own business of this nature .
