I have been providing dog grooming, washing, trimming and clipping services in the Gympie area since May 2009. I always recommend regular bathing as this keeps your best friend smelling and feeling lovely and therefore getting more cuddles and pats. This in turn makes for a very happy fur baby. For the dogs with the coats that need haircuts, regular clipping keeps those knots at bay and under control.

My favourite thing about being a mobile dog groomer is the simple fact that people trust me to take care of their special furry friends, it is something that means a lot to me. Being an owner of 2 wonderful dogs myself, I know how important that trust is when it comes to leaving your dog in someone else’s care.

The thought of being my own boss and being with dogs of all shapes and sizes every day was enough for me. That’s why I decided to open my own Blue Wheelers Mobile Dog Wash. It was a no brainer and I have never looked back!!!!

My favourite dog breed would have to be Golden Retrievers and Labradors. I have a Chocolate lab, Alf, and a Golden Retriever, Abby and they are both very much part of our family. The Retriever is quite stubborn in her nature, unlike the Lab who is the opposite and can still be quite goofy despite his 8 years!! We always had dogs in our lives!!! I can’t imagine life without one. I did have a beautiful black Lab before I had these two, her name was Whoopie hence the name of my Blue Dog. She was the kindest of souls and would never hurt a fly. We lived beside a dairy for many years and our faithful Whoopie dog would wander up to the farm whenever it was milking time to have a bowl of fresh milk, but always let the cat have hers first!!! She lived to be a fine old girl of 13 years.

Being a Hairdresser for 30 odd years has given me great skills at not only clipping and cutting but also dealing with people on a regular basis. I love waking up each morning knowing I’ll be spending the day with the animals I love, and making a difference in how they look, feel and smell. There is nothing better than cuddling a doggy that is clean and fresh and feeling amazing!

Heather washes and cuts our border collie, Pippa every 6 weeks. She does such a great job and Pippa always looks and smells AMAZING! Heather loves Pippa and she can always get her into the bath without any hassles.

Heather also mentions if she spots something wrong with Pippa that we should keep an eye on or take her to the vet.

We would be lost without our 6 week visits from Heather and Whoopie, they’re life saviours. Heather runs an amazing, reliable service and I would recommend her to anyone (because FYI she also knows how to cut human hair! haha).

Heather has always done a great job looking after all of our dogs grooming needs and medications. She always confirms their appointments the day before and Shaboo was always excited to see the blue dog coming up the road. I highly recommend Heather for the care of your dogs. We first met Heather 14 yrs ago, when she was starting out with Blue Wheelers and we asked her to take care of our little dog, Rocky. Heather has the most beautiful nature with our dogs and they relax under her care. Rocky has since passed and we have Heather now come to visit Oreo and Custard. After their bath they are relaxed, content and they smell so much better!!

‘Sass’ just loves his ‘Hebby’ and his bath although I think the ‘after bath’ treat also helps. He is always perfectly groomed and smells pretty awesome too.

Buster and Molly love seeing the big blue dog roll up! She does a beautiful job on my puppies and I’m very, very fussy. Buster, in particular, is an anxious puppy and very nervous about getting claws trimmed. Heather always takes the time to be gentle with him, chatting soothingly and then giving him a treat straight after.
Molly could also be tricky and Heather was so patient with my naughty puppies! We love her ❤

Heather is a professional who very obviously cares a great deal for her clients! She baths our two puppies and they love it. They get so excited when they see the big blue dog pull up out the front of our house. We have never had better care for our dogs!
