I have been providing dog washing and grooming services with Blue Wheelers in the Kenmore area since 2001.
My number one tip for dog owners is to have your dog washed and groomed regularly. This will keep your dog comfortable and happy by having less hair shedding and matting and keeping on top of skin irritations and nasty critters. In the long run it will save you time and money.
If you live in Kenmore through to Bellbowrie and the surrounding areas fill out the form, I would love to help you with your entire dog grooming needs and meet your best friend.
My favourite thing about being a dog groomer is seeing the happy faces on a dog after they’ve been pampered and knowing they must be feeling great. I also enjoy catching up with my clients and their furry friends.
I joined Blue Wheelers because I love animals especially dogs and loved the idea of running my own business.
I currently own 2 dogs, Bender is a 4 year old Jack Russell cross. We’re not sure what he’s crossed with but he’s more a medium sized dog. We got him at 5 months old as kind of a rescue dog. He’s scruffy looking and was called Benji when we got him, but we changed his name. We recently added a new addition to our family with a female jack Russell puppy called Taylee. We lost our old Maltese early this year and she has become a wonderful playmate for Bender and added lots of joy to our family. My daughters have really enjoyed having a puppy, we got her at six weeks old. She is a typical Jack Russell with lots of energy and very busy but also very cute.
My Blue Dog trailer is called Kojak. At the time I named him I used the initials of all the dogs I’d owned up till that point and rearranged them to come up with the name Kojak. The dogs names were Koda, Oscar, Jessie, Andy and Kalli. I liked the fact that it meant something to me.
As a child I grew up on a bean farm near Gympie and at the age of three I was roaming the farm with my Labrador. I believe this is where my love of dogs begun. After high school I moved to Brisbane to study but soon realised that high school teaching wasn’t for me. I became a nanny for some time before discovering this business and have been here ever since. I am drawn to the nurturing and caring roles which is why I think I have become a great dog groomer.
