Hi, I’m Linda and my Blue Wheelers name is Nikkia. I have been providing dog washing, grooming, trimming and clipping services with Blue Wheelers in Narangba (4504) or Morayfield (4506), Queensland, since 2007.

My favourite thing about being a mobile dog groomer is that I make a difference to the dogs and their parents. Seeing your four legged friends get excited when they see the trailer pull up, and can’t wait for me to open the door so they can get in for their baths makes me really happy. If you live in Narangba, (4504) or Morayfield (4506) in Queensland and want to book your best friend in for a little bit of TLC fill out the booking form. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog. I have always been really passionate about looking after the furry friends in my life. That’s why I decided to open my own Blue Wheelers Mobile Dog Wash. I love how the dogs smell and look after a bath or clip, you know you do a good job when they won’t get out of the trailer even for a treat.

A story from my days of being a Blue Wheeler: I always get a kick out of seeing Dexter every week, he is a Golden Retriever with ASD. His routine can’t change in any way or he goes and has a melt down by constantly barking at us until we change it back to what he likes. He is waiting for me every Thursday out in front of the garage. I have the remote to open the gates so when I do he runs inside to get his parents and let them know I’m here. He greets me with the biggest toothy smile I’ve ever seen on a dog. He has his structured routine that we all have to follow. And after all he is a happy camper. Dexter always makes me feel happy!

My trailer was named after my keeshound Nikkia. She was Smokey grey in colour and the most loyal dog anyone could have. They say a dog loves you unconditionally, well that’s true as Nikkia loved me as much as I loved her. When I first bought her she was only as big as my palm of my hand. I could take her walking without a lead. When I’d stop at the edge of the road, she’d stop and just look up at me as if to say c’mon mum when are we going? She wasn’t only my dog, but she was my special baby and till this day I still have a cry for her. I always miss and love Nikkia.

Working with the fur babies has made me a better person, they are calming, relaxing and each and every one of them have their own personalities. They all put a smile on my face and make me enjoy my job. Well, actually it doesn’t feel like a job to me at all!

I’ve been lucky enough to have Linda to care for both of our first babies for about 4+ years. Jasper (Mareema) was timid especially with the hair blower but now easy peasy. Linda comes fortnightly & has followed us from Culinary to Morayfield.

Linda & the Team at Blue Wheelers have that special touch. Ted & Charlie not only enjoy their washes, but the cuddles, stomach rubs & of course treats they are given during their fortnightly visits. I wouldn’t trust any one else especially since Charlie’s illness. Their compassion & attention to accommodate him during this time was amazing – like he was one of their own dogs! Great customer service with the added personal touch! Just fantastic.

We would love to give Linda a big thank you! Our boy Sooty has been clipped and bathed by Linda for four years now. He gets so excited when he hears her van pull up and can’t wait to jump in and be pampered by her. He lays down and totally relaxes for the whole service. He falls asleep while being clipped and Linda always does an excellent job on him. We are very happy because our dog is happy and that’s what counts.
