• I love being part of the Blue Wheelers team – living the dream washing and grooming dogs of Raymond Terrace and surrounding areas.

  I named my Blue Dog, Diesel after my last dog, who I inherited when I bought a previous property and the owners didn’t want to take him with them. He proved to be one of the best dogs I have owned and we spent a number of fun years together.

  I have always had a great love of all animals and in years gone by have shown Newfoundlands, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Rotties.  I still enjoy the occasional day at a dog show as a spectator.  I am also currently a volunteer with the Hunter Animal Rescue group which raises money and provides foster care for dogs waiting to find their forever homes.

  It’s hard to say what my favourite breed is, it changes from week to week.  I have always had a soft spot for Bernese Mountain Dogs but then again Australian Shepherds can always catch my eye.

  After 30 years in an office position I decided that I needed a change in career and what could be better than spending every day with furry friends.  It offers great variety as no two days are ever the same; dogs are always coming up with something new to make you laugh.

  Before becoming a groomer with Blue Wheelers I spent 30 years processing payrolls for various companies.  This gave me an understanding of the importance of good customer service and I always enjoyed helping employees with their queries or trying to solve problems.
