• My name is Phil, I have been providing dog washing and grooming services with Blue Wheelers in the Thornton (2322) area since 2012.

  My number 1 tip is to have your furry friends groomed regularly. This not only keeps their coat clean but adds to their overall health.

  I have 2 gorgeous puppies. Gus, an 11 year old Golden retriever and Lilly, a 8 year old yellow Labrador. Both are very well trained, loving dogs and love posing for photos on Facebook. I think they only do it for the treats though, Blue Wheelers of course! 😉

  My favourite thing about being a Blue Wheeler is making a difference in dogs’ lives. There is no better feeling than bonding with a dog and at the end seeing how happy they are to be clean and tidy.

  I have always owned and loved dogs. My friends called me the “Dog Whisperer” as I could bond with any dog. When I chose this career it seemed so natural to me.

  My Blue Dog Trailer is called Bailey. I named it to honour the memory of our loving family dog. He was a yellow Labrador mix who seemed to malt every day of the year. Opening the garage door would reveal tumbleweeds of fur rolling over the floor. We got Gus when Bailey was 12. At the end Bailey was deaf and half blind, so Gus became his seeing eye dog and best mate. He was 14 when he crossed the rainbow bridge but now he is always with me.

  Before becoming a dog groomer I was an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in the RAAF for 23 years. This provides me with the dedication; patience and attention to detail needed to make our furry friends look beautiful.
