My most favourite thing about being a Blue Wheeler pet groomer is seeing so many happy customers and their incredible dogs, each and every visit when I come by.

How I became a Blue Wheelers Pet Groomer was simple but amazing. Almost 13 years ago now I was out there travelling the world and working in New York State. I travelled back and forth for 7 years, but there a came a time in my life where I wanted to come back to Australia and work, but decided that I didn’t want to go back to work for a boss. So, I decided that I wanted to own my own business, but wasn’t sure what I really wanted to do. Until the very night that I had a wonderful dream. In the dream my child hood Dog Rusty came running in the yard. I was so excited to see that he was alive and back with me my faithful lovable friend. However, he was filthy and needed a wash desperately. So, I scrubbed him clean and was so proud of myself, but that’s when I woke up and sat up in bed with an incredible thought. I knew then and there what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a dog washer and pet groomer. It right then that very day with a stroke of luck that I came across the most wonderful company to be with and that was Blue Wheelers. Now Thirteen years on and I couldn’t be happier. I love my job and career but then again who wouldn’t as I get to be in the great Outdoors and spend time with the most incredible puppy dogs all day long.

My most favourite breed of dog in the world would have to be English Staffordshire’s. I’ve owned Staffies now 28 years and absolutely love them. I’ve had three wonderful Staffies and there such a lovable dog. All my beautiful dogs have been very friendly loved adults and kids and cats and all other dogs as well. My current girl Holly thinks she is more human than a dog. When I come home from work and sit on the lounge, the moment I say I don’t believe I’ve had my hug today, she jumps into my lap and places her front legs around my neck and leans in placing her head on my shoulder. I think if I told her that she was a dog and not a human she would be very upset, so let that just be our little secret.

Before becoming a pet groomer I worked for several years at a local hospital and also for a Medical Laboratory. Working in this field taught me many things, but most of all how to work in various situations with patients and caring and team work.

Thoroughly recommend Trevor from Blue Wheelers. He is extremely patient, very kind and confident with my little fur kid Stanley who is a little 2 year old Shihtzu. Stanley was in a very scruffy, knotty state and Trevor took his time and worked his magic and now although Stanley looks a little nakey he is knot free and no longer scruffy. Thank you so much Trevor!

Trevor was very professional and patient when dealing with my 13 1/2 yr old Newfoundland cross Tyson with arthritis on a very hot day. He made sure Tyson was comfortable at all times ( and it took a long time 2hrs due to his really thick coat) . Definitely recommend Trevor for the care he took of my old boy.Tyson now has a bit more pep to his step now and he feels so much better. Thanks to you Trevor!!

Trevor in the Wynnum area has been fantastic the past few years with our Pomeranian Tiger. Always friendly, to me and most importantly reassuring for our girl Tiger. Has done a great job with giving her maternity clips, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to wash her during the 2 times she has been pregnant. She is now retired from breeding and I’m just about to book her son Sensei in for his first wash, and I know Trevor will help make it a good first experience for him. For new customers- book well in advance! Because Trevor does such a good job he is always busy, but worth waiting ’til he is available. Thanks Trevor! We call Trevor the Dog Whisperer! He is so caring with our two dogs, Daisy and Bella. Our dogs are a Golden Retriever and a Groodle. Trevor has always clipped them to the highest standard taking time to make them look perfect. I would recommend Trevor who is always reliable and reasonably priced.
